The Ontario Power Authority (“OPA”) microFIT Program is a streamlined program for very small renewable energy projects under the umbrella of the Feed-in Tariff (“FIT”) Program.

If you are a homeowner, farmer or small business owner, or if you manage an institution such as a hospital, school or place of worship, you have the opportunity to develop a very small or “micro” renewable electricity generation project - 10 kilowatts (kW) or less in size – on your property. The Program will provide for 20 year contracts (40 years for waterpower) offering price guarantees for energy generated from renewable sources including solar, wind, biogas, biomass, landfill gas and hydro. The Greener Power is pleased to actively promote the OPA microFIT Program.
